It is FINISHED!
Sunday, January 11, 2009
The drilling rig progress is coming along well. The main frame of the trailer has been completed and is going out for paint this week. Once it is returned we will be ready to have the motor, tanks, drill pipe, and pumps installed on the rig. That should take a few weeks then we will be ready to dig some test holes. Thanks for your prayers below are some more prayer requests and pictures of the rig that we took before it went out for paint.
Prayer needs:
1. Pray for wisdom as we try to find a truck that can tow this rig.
2. Please start to pray that we have no problems with customes in Kenya.
3. Pray that God continues to bring supporters to our orginization. Once this rig is up and running in Africa we will be drilling wells faster then we are currently raising money.

What a Trip
Okello was in the states for about 17 days in November. His primary purpose for coming was to go to a training on the new rig we are purchasing from Drill 2 Water (Short Video Below). He spent almost a full week learning the in's and out's of the drill and actually got to spend some time drilling through rock in the hill country. He also got to spend some time with a few of our sponsors that we ran into along the way. We had a board meeting and the board got to get a full report from the field from Okello. We are excited about what 2009 holds for Operation H2O. Okello has over 15 communities lined up and ready to receive their well in 2009. Our rig is currently being built and should be completed in late February or early March. We will ship it out as soon as it has been fully tested and we hope to have it in Africa in the Spring. We want to thank all of you who have prayed for us and supported this effort financially. We could not do this without each of you.
Prayer Requests:
1. More supporters to sponsor at least one family for $9.00 a month in 2009. Click here to find out more.
2. We are looking for a bigger truck that can tow our 7000 lb rig.
3. Once the rig is on the ground we are going to need to hire another employee to help Okello. Please be praying that God will show us who this man is.

Gamba Primary and Secondary School Well
This is a short video of one of our newest wells in Kenya. It is at the Gamba Primary and Secondary school which has about 1100 students. This well will provide water not only for the schools but for the local churches and others in the community. This is one of our largest well sites serving over 2,000 people each day. This area is in need of at least 3 more wells and operation H2O is working hard to get a drill rig into Kenya to provide more wells.
